The city of Carcassonne. It’s located on a hill in southern France and seems to attract a lot of French and Spaniard tourists who often bring their dogs and children around.
For about 9 Euros, I walked around the fortress and saw view of the town. This looked more like a fortress than some palace or resting place for the hierarchy.
Additionally, there were a bunch of bakeries and cafes and street music player all around!
