2018: Peruvian Food Festival

Anticucho – the heart of a cow, supposedly. Still great, anyway!
Picarones – shaped like donuts but made of squash!
Saucing the picarones.
He both cooked and sold anticuchos. Amazing!

Several Sundays ago, I went to this Sumaq which was a Peruvian Food Festival about a hour from my house. It costed about $15 for adults to enter. Loud music blasted on the speakers yet no one was dancing. It was eating and being free.

Some people were nice and explained to me what some of the food was, like the picarones, which was made of squash.

Overall, while it seemed a bit disorganized, nobody pushed me and the food was delicious!
