Well, since Lent begins tomorrow, I figured I’d give up my most creative or rather most likely to post in social media place – Instagram. Well, just until Easter. Most definitely during this time, as well, I will focus more on Jesus and God and just be more prayerful after all, too.
It’ll be tough. I don’t really scroll mindlessly on Instagram or envy a lot of people there. In reality, it’s a great place to connect with friends and family and to be inspired by other photographers.
Back in November, I bought Sorelle Amore’s Instagram Business course and through the videos she said to post at least once a day and just to use a few tags and to focus on your “niche.”
Well, dude, I don’t think I have a niche. I’m constantly learning. I’m always up to trying something new like if it’s having some of my students teach me to serve in table tennis or learn to speak better French. Additionally, I don’t want to go on Instagram everyday. I see it more as a treat – something I would post on the weekends after some grand adventure I had gone on.
Oh, well, we’ll see how I’ll feel in the upcoming days. So, in the meantime, I’ll start posting more here and update you more on my travels and feelings.
Goodness, have you ever given something up for a time?
