2016: The Ecuadorian Musician

Back in 2016, my family and I toured around Ecuador (with Gate1 Travels). And we stopped by this guy’s home. He lived near the mountains. And he had a Japanese wife. They both used to do tours around the world with his home made wooden musical instruments. Nowadays, his children follow in his footsteps.

He generously allowed us to view and try out his instruments.  I didn’t get to play, but I had a fun time here and I’m grateful to have had this experience, especially since I’m mostly stuck in the house nowadays.

How far have you traveled from your homeland? What new experiences have you tried?
