As mentioned before, I had a wonderful time in Iceland. I met so many interesting people who have lived their whole lives there. Also, I’ve met people who have immigrated there and have since then called Iceland home.

These are some of the people…

Adam!

So, he wasn’t really a stranger, but he was such a notable person to have met. He guided us through glacier climbing. And he was twenty-three at the time and just came out of university. He was a gentlemanly yet jovial. He offered me his raincoat as it poured through the glacier trails and he helped adjust my brother’s boots/clampers.

Overall, he was the best guide we could have asked for. After Iceland, he was off to the northern mountains of Italia.

My brothers and I were driving through the countryside outside of Reykjavik. And we stopped inside a mini sit-down market.

There was a teenager stacking up some food into the fridge and I thought he was pretty cute. But, it took me some time to get the courage to ask for his photos. Thankfully, he gladly said yes and allowed me to direct him.

What a nice bunch!

It was around 10 PM when my two brothers and I arrived at a hotel. He was the one who greeted us at the front desk. And even in the early hours around sunset he was there to greet us. He was definitely a trooper from soldering those dreary hours of the night. So kudos to him. And he was chill with me photographing him.

I’ll admit it. I like to ask cute strangers for their photos, haha. He was from the UK, judging from his dialect. My brothers and I were returning our rented vehicle and I wanted to have a last minute fun before I left. So, I asked him for his photo. He had such a chill mannerism and those eyes definitely made me melt. 😉

Oh, sweet! And he joyfully went along with it.

So, if you ever embark on the 100 Strangers Project or just like photographing people, Iceland is definitely the place to shoot!
