Do you love the sight of books?
It’s always so magical and refreshing to peruse through books, even if you don’t bring one home. And inside the Neue Galerie in Manhattan, New York, you’re free to do so!

Right Image: You can find the Lady in Gold to the medieval to the modern day art collection of R. Lauder. (No photographs were allowed.)
Down the left hallway, as you enter the museum, you’ll find a small corner of a bookstore.
While it’s smaller than what you’ll find at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Bookshop, for instance, you’ll find a treasure of books, ranging from the art of Klimt to even photographs of the movie Casablanca. There are books in English and German and plenty of artwork around.

Right Image: This is a replica of the famous Adele Bloch-Bauer AKA The Woman in Gold, created by Gustav Klimt. (You can find it on the way towards the basement bathroom. (;)
I recommend going on the first Friday of any month between 5 PM and 8 PM. It’s free, then. And it will be a long line. So get there early, dress warmly, and bring a good friend or a book. 🙂
Where is your favorite bookshop? I hope you’re well.^_^
