You may have heard of Arenal, Monteverde, and Manuel Antonio in Costa Rica.
But another paradise land is also in the Southern Part of Costa Rica.
Uvita is a small, rural tropical town. And it has this amazing Natural Park called Parque Nacional Marino Ballena.


If you walk all the way to the northern tip of the beach, where small waves splash on both sides, you can see that it has the shape of a whale’s tail. (Ballena in Spanish means whale.)
The whole beach is wide and breathtaking, with views of the mountains in the distance, and the sunrise is so magical and heavenly to see.

So if you want a place away from the tourist crowds, check out Uvita.
By the way, the park is free after 5PM and closes at 6PM, but I’ve found people hanging out even later. 😉
