Yesterday, I visited the city of Cuenca, which contains some older and modern areas. The modern part lies at the bottom while the the antique part lies on a elevated mountain range.

When you look up, you’ll see six-stories houses hanging on the cliffs above. They are quite the view! And they were constructed in the 16th century.

Also, the city was also founded by a community of Arabs and later by Christian communities.
Goodness! All the roads were steep and cobbled. I have to work out more! 😛 But, it was still fun.

Moreover, we explored the Cuenca Cathedral. General Admission is five euros and it comes with a free audio device in any language.
The cathedral was so heavenly inside. A stain glass window painted in layer gold allowed the sun to shine through. Totally magnificent! Video and photos could not capture it.

Next, we took a bus tour through the park and some of the rocks/buildings over the years have formed into animal/food images, like mushrooms.
Some of the landscapes reminded me of the videogame Dragon Age.
From there, we headed home and hoped to go on another Smart Insiders tour again!
